FIVE FOOT NOTHIN' BIOS:

Five Foot Nothin' is an acoustic duo consisting of Jimmie and Kat Davis. The pair have been entertaining audiences since 2007 with their spin on acoustic tunes ranging from top 40 to country; pop to classic rock; modern rock and everything in between!

Jimmie Davis has been active on the Delaware Valley music scene since the 90's. Jimmie's first taste of musical success came with local indie favorites, Juliet’s Wishing Well, in which Jimmie performed as electric guitarist. Jimmie spent close to two years touring with the alternative band from New York to North Carolina; from Texas to Canada. In that time, they recorded the cd, high fashion, and shared the stage with various national acts such as Fuel, Cheap Trick, Sister Hazel, and 10,000 Maniacs. 

Jimmie also spent many years performing as a solo acoustic artist, performing both covers and originals. As a a solo artist, a highlight of Jimmie's musical adventures includes being selected to open for folk legend Richie Havens at the Rehoboth Beach Folk Festival. 

Later, Jimmie's band Hyper Maru was one of hundreds of independent bands across the nation that applied for inclusion in the video game, Pop Star Guitar, featuring songs by various artists such as Maroon 5, Miley Cyrus, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore. Not only were they chosen, their song “Wonder” is a feature song at the final stage of the video game.

Currently, Jimmie is the bassist for the award winning band, The Collingwood. A stalwart on the Mid-Atlantic music scene,  The Collingwood "mesh cinema-driven, minor-key melodies with elements of post-rock and 1970's-soul, creating shadowy dance numbers, both contemplative and severe." Kat Davis arrived on the music scene from a different background. Raised on musicals, Kat brings her theater background to the acoustic stage. She has performed in such productions as Annie, Elf the Musical, and Beauty and the Beast. Kat has experience behind the scenes as well, and has stage managed several productions at a variety of theaters. Kat has been a stage manager at ICS, Showcase on Main, and Wilmington Drama League, where she performed in the role of The Wicked Witch in Wizard of Oz. She currently works as a professional stage manager at Newark Charter School. Kat has performed professionally with Five Foot Nothin’ for the last 15 years and sings background vocals with the award-winning band, The Collingwood. Kat is featured in The Collingwood’s award-nominated music video, “All Velvet.”
